There are many things that we do in church today that we will be able to do in heaven, but there is ONE thing we cannot do in heaven - share the gospel with those who do not know Jesus.
Life moves so quickly, and so must the church if we are to see this gospel preached in all the world.
We are all about making Jesus' last command (The Great Commission) our first priority!
"But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?" (Romans 10:14).
We love our city Phoenix, and we believe that ImagineNations Church exists to bring the hope and love of Jesus to everyone we possibly can.
We live in a city so rich and diverse with people.
Our focus is to make life better for those that we have contact with, by showing that we love people, and most importantly, because God loves every person.
MAKING LIFE BETTER!
Jesus said in Matthew 25 I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
We seek to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, welcome the lonely, clothe the unclothed, care for the sick and visit the prisoners. Jesus' number one priority was others, and it is also ours.
The heart and passion of ImagineNations Church is to see non-Christians all over the world become totally committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our first priority is to see Jesus' last command, "to make disciples of all nations", fulfilled.
Through the generous missions giving of the ImagineNations Churches, we support a variety of missions projects throughout the world.
ImagineNations Church Yuma (AZ, USA) was established over 40 years ago as Mt Zion Church Yuma by Ps Tom & Noel Messer. Today, Ps Tom Renard & Dayna Renard lead a life-giving church with a heart for their local community and the world.
In 1985 Ps Tom and Noel Messer sent and supported Ps Jack and Carol Hanes (and 3 children) for the purpose of planting a missions focused church in Sydney, Australia. Since that time God has richly blessed the church, and have seen an incredible influence in the world for missions.
In March 2010 we planted ImagineNations Church Darwin (NT, Australia) with Ps Troy and Nicole Davis with their daughter Hannah.
Today they meet each Sunday at Charles Darwin University and are building a great church with a heart for Darwin and a heart for the nations.
In February 2014 we announced that we would be planting ImagineNations Church Melbourne (VIC, Australia). Ps Craig & Melissa Maher are the pastors and their six daughters are all involved in establishing INChurch Melbourne.
IN Church Melbourne is located in Caroline Springs around 25 minutes west of Melbourne.
ImagineNations Church Mexico is located in San Luis Rio Colorado which is just south of the US/Mexico border near Yuma, Arizona.
They have an established church and they also help to assist the poor in their local community though a variety of projects from feeding programs, water programs and much more.
Jesus called for us to “Go into all the world and make disciples” and for us this is always our first priority. Our vision is to sponsor indigenous church planters who will plant at least one church each day.
Indonesia is our closest neighbour and for over 10 years in partnership with Paulus and Marlisye Wiratno we have supported local church planters who go out across the islands of Indonesia. This year we will continue to support 18 church planters throughout Indonesia.
Also in 2014 we will be bringing 300 of our church planters to Bali to receive ministry and be encouraged in their work from our Senior Pastors.
In North East India we support Kitbok Ryntathiang and his team of workers as they plant house churches across the North Eastern states of India including Meghalaya, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
In Bihar, Kolkata, Chattisgarh and Mysore we support four Mobile Evangelistic Teams that go from village to village, spread the gospel and establish new church plants. We have provided these teams with vehicles, equipment and support them as they work in these four zones.
In China we are partnering with the underground church to establish new churches in key cities across China. There are over 1.3 Billion people in China and we are seeking to reach as many as we can with the gospel.
In the Middle East we are supporting students to receive training in a church planting school in Beirut, Lebanon. These students will be trained and then sent out to plant new churches in nations such as Syria, Egypt, Iraq and others.
Every year, for the past several years our church has collectively given around $1,000,000 to missions to see the love and message of Christ spread throughout the earth. We do this by making a Faith Promise.
What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is a prayerful commitment that we make annually, over and above our tithe and general offerings with the specific purpose of accomplishing our vision in missions. We make this commitment with willing hearts and the faith that God will provide the means for us to give this offering over the course of the year. A Faith Promise offering can be given weekly, monthly or as a one-time gift.
How does it work?
We set our missions budget off the commitments that the members of our church make. This is the reason that we ask you to put your name on the card so that we know it is a genuine commitment. Our Senior Pastor Jack Hanes and our Business Manager, Ps Rob DeMartin, only see this card so that we can add the figures up and verify that they are legitimate. At no point will you be contacted and personally asked to give what you have committed in your Faith Promise. It is a faith commitment between you and God.
How should I approach it?
A Faith Promise is a thoughtful, heartfelt commitment to contribute to the missions work that we do as a church. It keeps missions from being something that we do as an afterthought but rather as a key part of each of our lives.
The Scripture which defines this best is 2 Corinthians 9:7-9 NLT:
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say,
“They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”
Spend time in prayer, asking God what He would have you give. After you pray, thoughtfully ask yourself these three questions:
What can I give?
If I put this in my budget, what can I afford to give?
What can I give up?
Maybe there are some “wants” I can lay aside?
And if I add my faith to it?
What can I believe God to provide?
As you take time to pray, we believe that God will speak to you and help you to stretch your faith to see His Kingdom advance in this year ahead.
Faith Promise cards are available during worship service each Sunday, or you can make a faith promise for this year by filling out the form below and we will add it to our overall figure.
